I only now took it out of the case. One thing I couldn’t find in the manual is what the numbers and lever on the left side of machine are? In the manual the button knob to the far left Top is just an oil place. But it moves the lever to the left side to corresponding numbers, any idea what that is??
Apologies as I am still novice with machines!
Thank you!
-Caratrobairitzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03174806673416698189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2034316472310869056.post-841623969854201712019-10-01T15:54:12.320-05:002019-10-01T15:54:12.320-05:00FYI, you can request machine manual directly from ...FYI, you can request machine manual directly from the manufacturer: web: https://www.necchi.it - email: info@necchi.it

xosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17358721743680414194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2034316472310869056.post-28493006093159532632019-03-25T07:37:34.503-05:002019-03-25T07:37:34.503-05:00HI Tammy, I've got the Lelia 513, had it for 3...HI Tammy, I've got the Lelia 513, had it for 38 years; my boyfriend (now husband) bought it for me for our first xmas together and it's still going strong, as are we. thank you for the manual - I lost mine when we moved. My question is regarding twin needles. Can you use a twin on this machine as the needles thread from the side and when I insert a twin needle with the flat side on the holder, with the needle eyes at the side, the twin needles are one behind the other rather than side by side in the direction of sewing, if that makes sense. My machine won't sew if I put a single needle in with the eye at the front rather than the side, so I can't see how I can sew with a twin needle (ie for 2 rows of stitching) on this machine but I've read that you can....i'e tried it but can't get it to work.... thank you for a great site and I hope you will be able to respond. Believe it or not, right now I can't get the bobbin out - stuck in the machine.

I somehow did manage to do some free-motion embroidery with the correct foot, but then when I went back to the normal foot, it wasn't feeding properly. If you have visited my blog you know I collect vintage machines. When my Lelia was set up for free motion quilting the feed dogs are down. Here is how it works on the Necchi 513. When the plastic lever is pushed down the feed dogs are disengaged. This is not automatic I have to turn the hand wheel towards me. The same is true to raise the feed dogs, I flip the plastic lever up and rotate the hand wheel then the feed dogs re-engage. This is different than my other vintage machines where button or lever raises and lowers the feed dogs automatically. Would you please try this and let me know if your issue is resolved?

Happy Stitching.Tammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18053469261622557578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2034316472310869056.post-38429602444449468752016-06-02T19:07:45.886-05:002016-06-02T19:07:45.886-05:00My apologies if this is a repeat of a previous com...My apologies if this is a repeat of a previous comment/question.
